Farrow Family
of Mattishall

John Farrow and his son Arthur John 'AJ' came to Mattishall from High House Farm at Beetley and were living in the village by the time of the 1901 census. During the families time at Mattishall they became one of the village's largest employers. The family originated from Carbrooke and below is their family history. The early records show the family were known as 'Farrer' this could be down to dialect or transcription but later it changed to 'Farrow'.
